The Level 2 Coaching Certificate will provide individuals with the knowledge and competence to lead the planning and delivery of coaching sessions to improve golfers. Level 2 Coaches can deliver ClubGolf stages 1 and 2.
This course, delivered by the PGA is available to anyone who
wishes to further their coaching knowledge and skills by taking the
next step along the PGA's comprehensive coach education
Once you have registered for the Level 2 course, you will
receive a study and information pack, which contains all the
resources you need to complete the course and gain your
qualification. From receiving this pack - which includes a Home
Study Workbook; Technical, Tactical and Physical Manual; and
Coaching Log resources - the course takes about 25 weeks to
complete. During this time, you will be expected to read the
manuals in preparation for four days of practical assessment
(delivered as two two-day sessions). These will include assessments
of coaching sessions and the demonstration of various golf shots,
as well as a 45-minute multiple choice questionnaire. You will also
be asked to submit a coaching log book, recording and reviewing six
coaching sessions, four of which are linked to show progression and
