Where can my child play?

All 32 local authorities delivered ClubGolf, in the Primary sector in 2011. 73% of Scotland's P5 children, in the public sector, received an introduction to golf in school this year.

...said Active Schools Co-ordinator for the Lasswade Cluster, Scott Montgomery. "Every P5 child at the school has been introduced to the game for the last three years. With our local club Broomieknowe offering ClubGolf coaching there is a great opportunity for them to continue with their coaching and hopefully stay involved in the game for life.

There is also wider support for Dunfermline Golf Club in the community - the sportscotland and Fife Active Schools network in partnership with teachers in nearby Cairneyhill and Crossford primary schools is successfully planting the golf seed.

"We have trained members of staff in both schools to deliver ClubGolf's introductory game," said Andrew Baird, Active Schools Co-ordinator for the Queen Anne schools cluster. "So having Dunfermline Golf Club on board and delivering coaching is a brilliant opportunity for the kids to progress to and play golf.

To get 20 children involved on their first coaching course is a fantastic response. Hopefully it will build up and snowball each year."
