This is an exciting time to get involved with coaching in ClubGolf. Recognition through the Scottish Golf Strategy that our goals to produce Stronger Clubs, More Golfers and Winning Golfers will not be achieved without a quality coaching system has led to the creation of this post in the ClubGolf team.
With an ever increasing number of active volunteer and PGA Professional coaches in Scotland delivering the ClubGolf programme, we must ensure we have the right systems and processes in place to recruit, train, support and retain our workforce. ClubGolf are committed to the provision of needs led coach education and development to enable the coaching workforce to deliver the programme. This work will be delivered through appropriate coach inductions and progressive coaching resources. We will develop relationships with the coaches and ensure that needs led support and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) are provided.
The ClubGolf Coaching Officer will work with key staff in the ClubGolf team and the PGA Coach Education and Development Manager to deliver the Coaching Plan. We are looking for someone with experience of working within Coach Education or Development to ensure we effectively recruit, train, support and retain our coaching workforce.
The role will be based out of our Edinburgh or St Andrews Offices. The posts will be line managed by the ClubGolf Manager with functional support from The PGA Coach Education and Development Manager.
Salary will be dependent upon experience, and will be within the range of £28,000 - £32,000.
