The Ryder Cup may be long gone from Gleneagles but it continues to inspire young people across Scotland as they come together at golf festivals.
Active Midlothian teamed up with Broomieknowe Golf Club to bring together six schools from around the Lasswade area for a Ryder Cup style festival.
The primary five classes rotated around three competition stations - full swing, chipping, putting, in which points were allocated, and the 240 children took part in fun games and a quiz to see what they knew about golf.
The classes were split into USA v Europe, and at the end of a sunny, fun-filled session, the result was just as it was at Gleneagles in September 2014 – Europe won!
The aim of ClubGolf is to create a development pathway from entry level through to the highest levels of achievement, enabling increased access to golf, higher participation levels, improved standards of performance, and sustained growth in the future.
