ClubGolf Coach Developer John Mulgrew made the trip to Lochgilphead recently to help enlist more youngsters in the game by delivering valuable tuition advice.
PGA Master Professional Mulgrew, recognised as one of the
country's very best coaches, met with Level 1 volunteers from
Lochgilphead, Inveraray, Tarbert and Machrihanish golf clubs.
There, he provided tips on how to make sure coaching sessions are
as engaging as possible for children in order for them to progress

keeps children interested.

better in a better position to deliver ClubGolf coaching come the
start of the golf season in spring.
Mulgrew (South West, West and Argyll & Dumbartonshire) was
appointed as one of four Coach Developers earlier this year,
alongside Allan Martin (Central, Tayside & Fife and Highlands
& Islands), Ryan Scott (East) and Keil Beveridge
Funded jointly by ClubGolf and Ryder Cup Europe, their remit is to
develop the skills and knowledge across Scotland's vast volunteer
workforce to raise the bar in quality coaching delivered to young
and aspiring golfers.
Over the next three years, each Coach Developer will travel the
length and breadth of his region, visiting clubs to offer support
through a range of methods.
