Structured coaching is crucial to the success of ClubGolf. There are a various coaching roles that support the ClubGolf Player Pathway, with opportunities for teachers, volunteers and golf professionals to get involved.
Throughout the 300+ golf clubs and facilities across Scotland
delivering the ClubGolf programme there are currently over 1500
qualified volunteer golf coaches and an increasing number of PGA
Professionals coaching, with 127 currently delivering
sessions.
Volunteers who wish to get involved with ClubGolf junior golf
coaching at their golf club or facility can become trained and
licensed through the Professional Golfers Association (PGA).
Become a primary school trained deliverer
As a primary school trained deliverer, you can deliver the

of sixteen who wishes to get involved in coaching and developing

Level 1 - ClubGolf Stage 1
The Level 1 qualification is a basic introduction to coaching that
enables volunteers or Assistant Professionals to help a more
qualified coach (e.g. a Golf Professional) deliver sessions to
beginners. For example assisting in the delivery of a series of
junior sessions in which the senior coach needs assistance due to

Level 1 golf coaches with further coaching knowledge so that they

The Level 2 Coaching Certificate will provide individuals with the
knowledge and competence to lead the planning and delivery of

ClubGolf gives young people a fantastic opportunity to try golf. The programme is first delivered to children in Primary 5 at schools across Scotland.
The aim of ClubGolf is to create a development pathway from entry level through to the highest levels of achievement, enabling increased access to golf, higher participation levels, improved standards of performance, and sustained growth in the future.
